  1. Love this series Momma…Still one of my favorites…and you’ll be glad to know my fingers glided ‘gingerly” across the keyboard as I typed this…e

    1. Hahah! Thanks a ton, dear! I’m really glad you like this series 🙂

  2. This word took me a long time to learn because gingerly to me sounds like “spryly” or “merrily.” Probably because of the similarity to jingly or giggly. Once I got the correct meaning into my skull, I started using it. A great word for writing. 🙂

    1. I can completely relate! When i first came across this word, I thought that it meant something happy, as you mentioned above, but when I found out the meaning I was really surprised!
And I completely agree, it is indeed a really nice word for writing.
      Thanks for reading!

  3. Great word choice. My mother used the word ‘gingerly’ all of the time when i was a child. Since I was young, I can’t say whether or not she always used it correctly, but seeing it as you word of the week brought back many memories of my childhood.

    1. Awww… Thanks a lot, Michelle. I’m so happy that this week’s word brought back your childhood memories 🙂
I hope everything’s well at your end.

  4. The word brings, not so gingerly, the rhizome ‘ginger’ to mind. I like to coin ‘cucumberly’, to mean ‘as cool as cucumber’

    1. Haha! Good one, Raj.
And I really like cucumberly, guess I’d like to coin lemonly… as in sour 😉
