ANTONYMS:

vigour, energy, liveliness, sprightliness, spiritedness.

WORD ORIGIN: 

Late Middle English: from French, from Latin lassitudo, from lassus ‘tired’.

USE IN SENTENCE: 

  • After the baseball game he was overcome by lassitude.
  • This morning, lassitude is preventing me from getting out of bed.
